Make it easy.
Let's get your carte Vitale process started!
Most of our partner have a dedicated Admin team that will push your application forwards with the authorities and will give you regular updates.
And if they aren't able to obtain your carte Vitale, most will offer a 100% money-back guarantee.
If you're eligible for affiliation to the French public health care system they’ll send you a quote.
Your CPAM will send you a temporary social security number by post. This will allow you to reimburse your medical fees whilst waiting on your permanent SSN.
Once they received your deposit, they’ll ask you for the documents they need.
You’ll receive your permanent SSN and a form that you will need to fill out and send. Then, your carte Vitale will arrive by post.
They contact your local CPAM on your behalf. The CPAM will review your application file and either process it or ask for additional files.
They will create your "Ameli" account for you. This will allow you to follow your reimbursements and contact french healthcare authorities directly.
The process, from the moment you apply until you receive your carte Vitale can take up to 11 months.
You become eligible for public French health care after 3 months of consecutively living in France but some documents required for the affiliation process can take a few weeks to gather. Therefore please don't hesitate to enquire as soon as you have arrived in France.
The cost to handle the entire procedure can vary depending on our partner but a ball park figure is between 500 to 1000€.
The service we have received has been genuinely outstanding. We were amazed how consistently efficient, responsive, and pleasant all the team are. No hidden charges and they follow through on promises. Despite being inactif non S1 holders, my husband and I quickly got in the French health service as a result of their expertise. They took all the headaches away for us. I can’t recommend their services highly enough. Thank you!
